Consulting

My practice exists to build bridges between the arts and technology. I consult with writers, artists and arts organizations on using technology and grassroots media to reach larger, audiences and maintain those already loyal. I consult with technology companies on speaking to users in language and design they understand. As a professional writer myself, I understand that marketing and technology are a necessary but not instinctual part success in the arts. As a lifelong student and admirer of technology, my passion is to have it useful to the widest audience possible. My practice has a single guiding philosophy: You already know how to do your best work. I'm simply here to help you achieve it.

How it Works:

Our relationship begins with a free phone consultation where we assess your needs or those of your organization I answer your questions and determine how I can best help. Depending on the scope of your needs, we may have a second free phone consultation where I outline strategies and methods. Here, we're simply trying to determine how we can best work together so no question is too simple, no inquiry too pushy.

Fees

$100 an hour plus expenses (usually phone calls and copying). $0.50 per mile travel outside the city of San Francisco. I also work on a per project basis for projects lasting longer than 1 month, fees to be negotiated.
