I'm doing a piece for The Believer where I have to learn a whole bunch about Hot Glue Guns in a very short time. Any wisdom greatly appreciated.

Tip #1. A hot glue gun is not an acceptable substitute for a Q-TIp.

Oh lord. Ask a silly question...

Hold the unmelted glue in with your thumb, applying gentle pressure that will prevent clogging the tip of the gun.
Wow. I just gave you a legitimate tip for using a glue gun. I am a 65 year old woman.

1) Pressurized glue guns (they shoot the glue, rather than letting it just dribble out; we use them where I work) are really cool
2) But it hurts if you accidentally shoot yourself
3) I've never encountered a situation where a hot glue gun is preferable to a less unwieldy form of adhesion

Awesome! I've been waiting for an excuse to shell out the big bucks for this mag. Any idea when your piece will appear?
